For the 2025-26 season, Kayla was nominated* for the Be Like Betty award by a fellow teammate and heartily endorsed by the WRW Board. Kayla's infectious enthusiasm for swimming and training hard is truly a valuable asset for our team!

2024

The White Rock Wave Board created the Be Like Betty award to honor the achievements and spirit of Betty Brussel. Betty set or broke 12 world records in 2024 when she turned 100 years old.
